The crowd had all kinds of ideas for what their hero should do. Try sand! Throw it in the water! Lay it down until the dust covers it. In 100 years it will be buried.
These were not the solutions. The queen stood still under a thorny tree. She held the spear level with the ground and gave up trying, yet still trying. All at once the spear became everything, all things were embedded in each thing, the spear was the earth. There were two queens and only one queen.
